Petrovietnam honoured as Vietnam Excellent Brand

The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) tops the list of ten strongest brands in Vietnam in 2024, selected by readers of Tap Chi Kinh Te Viet Nam / VnEconomy / Vietnam Economic Times.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) tops the list of ten strongest brands in Vietnam in 2024, selected by readers of Tap Chi Kinh Te Viet Nam / VnEconomy / Vietnam Economic Times.

The magazine on October 16 announced the Vietnam Excellent Brands in 2024. Accordingly, the Top 10 Vietnam Excellent Brands are Petrovietnam, Viettel, Vietcombank, BIDV, VietinBank, AgriBank, Vingroup, Vinamilk, FPT and Sun Group.

Meanwhile, two members of Petrovietnam - Phan Bon Ca Mau (Ca Mau Fertilizer), and Petrovietnam Fertiliser and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) were among those honoured as Excellent Brands – Green Growth.

The Vietnamese Excellent Brands programme initiated in 2003 by Tap Chi Kinh Te Viet Nam / VnEconomy / Vietnam Economic Times is its biggest annual event to honour Vietnamese businesses which have recorded outstanding achievements, making notable contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.

As of September 2024, Petrovietnam had overfulfilled all financial targets set for the nine-month period by 27% to two times, with many even exceeding the annual plan and showing high growth compared to the same period in 2023. The group’s total revenue in the first nine months of this year is estimated at 736.5 trillion VND (29 billion USD), meeting the target of the year three months ahead of schedule, up 12% over the same period in 2023.

During January-September period, the group's contribution to the State budget is estimated at 115.2 trillion VND, exceeding the annual target by 23%, up 9% over the same period in 2023./.
