Close to 200 documents and photos on President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnam-France Friendship” are on display at an exhibition that opened in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on May 17.

The two-week exhibition was jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien-Hue and French artist Dominique de Miscault on the occasion of the 120 th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 20 th anniversary of UNESCO’s recognition of him as a hero of national liberation and an outstanding cultural celebrity in Vietnam.

The exhibited documents and photos are divided into three main topics, including “Nguyen Ai Quoc in Paris ”, “Vietnam-Ho Chi Minh Hallmarks in France” and “Vietnam-France Friendship”.

The first topic introduces photos and documents on President Ho Chi Minh’s activities in France while the second mentions places where Uncle Ho had lived, worked and studied such as Tours city, Marseille port, House No. 9 Compoint alley, House No. 3 Patriarche and Chetelet subway station.

The “Vietnam-France Friendship” topic features the images of the Vietnamese land and people, the France-Vietnam Friendship Association’s activities and the portraits of several historical characters, including Raymond Dien, Henri Martin and Charle Founiecau.

Dominique de Miscault, who is working for the Vietnam-France Friendship Association, spent seven years collecting documents and photos on President Ho Chi Minh for this exhibition.

The French artist has held hundreds of exhibitions in France , Russia and Western Europe . In Vietnam , she has organised 12 exhibitions in Ho Chi Minh City , Hanoi and Hue./.
