Algiers (VNA) – Aphoto exhibition is underway in Algiers until May 28, aiming to promote Vietnamese products to Algerian friends.

The three-day event, hostedby the Embassy of Vietnam in the African nation, is part of the activities markingthe 60th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Algeria diplomatic ties.

The exhibition offered a range of precious historical moments in the bilateral relations as well asbeauty of the countries.

In his opening speech,Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Vinh said over the past six decades, bilateralrelations have been strengthened through cooperation in multiple fields,expressing his belief that the partnership will further benefit peoples of thecountries.

Also on showcase areVietnamese traditional and craft products, together with performances of martialarts like vovinam and qwankido.

Vietnamese dishes are alsoserved at the event, which aims to bolster exchanges and understanding onVietnamese culture and the Vietnam-Algeria friendship among Algerian andinternational friends./.

Public order crime drops 22.55% in first half

In the field of economic crime, 2,096 cases involving 4,194 suspects were prosecuted in the first half. For corruption and position-related crimes, 370 cases and 1,042 suspects were brought to trial. Meanwhile, police uncovered 11,687 drug-related cases involving 22,863 individuals.

Thai Princess Award Foundation strengthens education ties with Vietnam

Youth volunteers support operation of local administration model, online public services

The programme prioritises 286 remote border communes, wards and special areas, where coordination between local youth units is seen as crucial. Volunteers are deployed across three main functions: supporting officials with administrative procedures, helping people and businesses submit online applications and payments, and offering digital training through creative models such as mobile tech clinics and grassroots tech groups.
