Hai Phong (VNA) – The Hai Phong Journalists' Association in collaboration with the Hai Phong Press Photography Club hosted a special event on June 8 to mark the reception of a national flag from Truong Sa (Spratly) and launch a photo exhibition featuring the archipelago.

The event was a response to the national photo contest "Homeland by the Shore”, coinciding with the 76th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11) and the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21).

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong Journalists Association Nguyen Anh Tu said the association held the contest to contribute to the photo exhibition. Five members of the Press Photography Club were specifically dispatched to Truong Sa to explore the reality and take valuable photos.

From thousands of photos taken by the club members during their trip, the organising board meticulously selected 200 photos, ultimately displaying 80 and featuring over 100 large panoramic photos. These images depict the strong bond between the Hai Phong community and soldiers and residents stationed on Truong Sa and DK1 platforms, he added./.
