Central Phu Yen province’s border guards on May 8 handed four Filipino fishermen who were rescued in Vietnam’s seas over to officials of the Philippines Embassy in Vietnam.
The distressed fishermen were spotted and rescued after adrift in the waters near Song Tu Dong island of Truong Sa archipelago on January 23 by vessel PY-90144 captained by Luong Cong Xuyen.
The Filipinos were provided with health care and accommodation during their stay in the province.
