
Hanoi (VNA) –Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked Thailand’s Siam Cement Group (SCG) toexpand investment to more fields in Vietnam while receiving SCG President andCEO Roongrote Rangsiyopash in Hanoi on April 5.
He said Vietnam hopes that SCG will reap successin its cooperation and investment projects in Vietnam, including the oil refineryand petrochemical project it is implementing in partnership with the Vietnam NationalOil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam).
The Vietnamese Government will provide the bestpossible conditions for SCG to carry out this project as soon as possible, hestressed.
The PM added that the group’s investment inVietnam is suitable and will benefit both sides at a time when Vietnam enjoysvigorous growth and wants to attract investment.
The SCG President and CEO thanked the VietnameseGovernment for supporting the group’s investment, noting that SCG is steppingup the joint petrochemical project with PetroVietnam since this is the firm’smost important project in Vietnam.
He also expressed his hope for continued supportfrom the Government and relevant agencies for SCG’s activities in Vietnam.-VNA
