Beijing (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met his Cambodian counterpartSamdech Techo Hun Sen in Beijing, China, on April 26, on the sidelines of theongoing second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, which openedthe same day.

Atthe meeting, Phuc sent greetings to Hun Sen and Cambodian people on theoccasion of Cambodia’s traditional New Year Chol Chnam Thmay festival.

Expressingtheir delight at strong growth of the Vietnam – Cambodia ties, both PMs agreedto continue effectively implementing the two countries’ high-level agreement of2019, increase the number of visits and high-level meetings, and sustainregular cooperation mechanisms between the sides.

Theyalso discussed various key issues of bilateral relations at the current time.

Phucsuggested the Cambodian Government and PM Hun Sen himself prioritise creatingfavourable conditions for Vietnamese Cambodians in the country to live and workin accordance with local law.-VNA
