The textile industry in the CLMV (Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam) has come under near-term threat from the global COVID-19 outbreak, especially for key producer Cambodia.
Economic recovery in CLMV countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam) depends on their ability to contain the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a report from Maybank Kim Eng.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will attend the 9th Summit of the Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS 9), the 10th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Summit and the 11th Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Summit on Development Triangle Area (CLV-11), to be held virtually on December 9.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s participation in several regional summits – ACMECS-9, CLMV-10 and CLV-11 -, to be held virtually on December 9, reflects the importance that Vietnam attaches to ACMECS, CLMV and CLV cooperation.
