Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has praised three students in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang for their honesty to give back a sum of 40 million VND (about 1,760 USD) to its owner.

Hanoi (VNA) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has praised threestudents in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang for their honesty to giveback a sum of 40 million VND (about1,760 USD) to its owner.

The three students are Do Thanh Bang, a 10th grader of Tran Van Bay High School,Tran Thanh Moi and Le Nhi Khang, residing in the province’s Thanh Tri district.On February 19, they discovered a lost wallet with the 40 million VND insideand reported to local police.

In his letter of commendation sent on February 24, the PM lauded the students’honesty while voicing his hope that they will continue to study hard and becomeexemplary citizens and future masters of the country.

He instructed the provincial People’s Committee and education sector to rewardthe students and create optimal conditions for their study. - VNA

“I love my fatherland” journey 2026 launched

Education ministry targets five digital technology incubators at universities

A key target under the new plan is the establishment of five digital technology incubators, or Deeptech Hubs, at universities and research institutes with strong potential. The education ministry also plans to launch a training programme for 1,000 outstanding technology entrepreneurs and develop criteria for selecting and supporting startup ecosystems within educational institutions.

Vietnam Customs expands capacity to tackle cross-border narcotics crime

Established in November 2025, the NTC comprises six officers from the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Sub-Department specialising in surveillance, intelligence collection and information analysis. The centre is tasked with strengthening customs capacity in risk assessment and drug crime targeting, helping authorities detect and prevent illicit cross-border trafficking of narcotics and other dangerous substances at an early stage.
