PM receives former German Vice Chancellor

Da Nang (VNA) – The Vietnamese Government has always welcomed feedback from intellectuals, investors and businesses, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has affirmed.

He made the remark while hosting former Vice Chancellor of Germany Philipp Rosler in central Da Nang city on November 29, on the occasion of the first Vietnamese Young Intellectual Forum (VYI Forum 2018).

At the meeting, the Vietnamese PM spoke highly of his guest for attending and voicing his opinions at the forum, thus contributing to the development of startups in Vietnam.

He expressed his hope that Rosler, with Vietnamese blood running in his veins, will continue to make contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic growth and help the country become home to many major businesses in the time to come.

For his part, Rosler pledged to contribute more to Vietnam’s development in the future and serve as a bridge connecting Vietnamese businesses with foreign markets, such as Germany, the US and others in Europe.

He also voiced his hope to provide consultations for some major firms in Vietnam.

Rosler previously served as German Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics and Technology, and later became a member of the managing board of the World Economic Forum (WEF).–VNA
