Politburo member hails ties with DPRK

Politburo member of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Le Hong Anh stated that the Vietnamese Party, State and people attach great importance to developing the traditional friendly relations with the Korean Workers’ Party and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Anh, who is also a permanent member of the CPV Central Committee’s Secretariat, made the remarks when receiving a visiting delegation headed by Kim Wan Su, Chief of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the DPRK’s Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland, in Hanoi on July 5.

At the official reception, Anh said he believed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and the DPRK Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland will futher consolidate and uphold the traditional solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples.

It was initially fostered by late President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il-sung to support the revolutionary cause in both countries and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.

Kim Wan Su then informed his host of his country’s socio-economic situation. He praised the Vietnamese people for their achievements in building a socialist country and expressed his delight at the fine development in relations between the two fronts.

Earlier, Kim Wan Su held talks the President of the Central Committee of the VFF Huynh Dam.

They signed a memorandum of understanding on promoting cooperative relations and the exchange of experiences.-VNA
