Portraits of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, heroines exhibited

An exhibition featuring portraits of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and heroines of the people’s armed forces in the Military Region 7 opened in HCM City on October 19 to mark Vietnamese Women’s Day.

HCM City (VNA) – Anexhibition featuring portraits of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and heroines of thepeople’s armed forces in the Military Region 7 opened in Ho Chi Minh City onOctober 19 to mark Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20).

On display are 103 oil paintingsand 200 sketches drawn by female painter Dang Ai Viet who owns paintings ofnearly 1,500 alive Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and over 200 heroines of thepeople’s armed forces.

The exhibition aims to praise andraise public awareness of the sacrifice of the armed forces and people of thesoutheastern and southern central regions, especially great contributions madeby Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and heroines of the people’s armed forces to thestruggle for national liberation in the past and the national construction anddefence cause at present.

The opening ceremony saw the attendanceof former State President Nguyen Minh Triet, former Prime Minister Nguyen TanDung, former Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Le Thanh Hai andnearly 100 Heroic Mothers and heroines of the people’s armed forces.

Vietnam, Laos strengthen ties through golf development

Official nominations announced for Devotion Awards 2025

Since 2023, the awards expanded into sports, integrating a hybrid voting system that combines votes from journalists, experts, and the public.
