Hanoi (VNA)- Vietnam will have one representative at the Asian Football Confederation’s(AFC) Champions League in the next two years.

Vietnam are number 16 inthe continent and second in ASEAN, according to the AFC. The number ofclubs participating in the AFC tournament remains unchanged.

National premier leaguechampions Hanoi T&T will compete from the pre-qualification round. In casethey fail, they will move to the AFC Cup’s group round. If Hanoi T&Twin a berth in the Champions League’s group round, the AFC Cup’s berth will goto another Vietnamese club, to be identified later.

The AFC also reportsthat National Cup winner Quang Ninh Coal FC will play at the Cup’s group stage.— VNA
