Hanoi (VNA) - Thanh Hoa, V.League 1 runners-up last season, aim tobeat Yangon United in the second match of Group G of the AFC Cup 2018 onFebruary 27 in Myanmar.

Earlier, Thanh Hoa defeated Global Cebu of the Philippines in the event’s firstmatch on February 10 in Hanoi.

To prepare for the game, Thanh Hoa convened on February 21 afterenjoying Tet holiday.

The team won’t have service of midfielder Mai Tien Thanh, who hasn’t recoveredfrom a knee injury, but coach Marian Mihail has another choice: midfielder NguyenXuan Thanh, who played well against Global Cebu.

Meanwhile, Yangon United, who finished second in the Myanmar National League,also had a good start in the AFC event, beating Bali United FC of Indonesia 3-1in their first match of the campaign on February 13.-VNA
