Indonesia and China have agreed to develop a multi-functional laboratory for a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor.

Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesia and China have agreed todevelop a multi-functional laboratory for a high-temperature gas-cooledreactor.

The agreement was signed by Indonesian Minister of Research,Technology and Higher Education Mohamad Nasir and Chinese Minister of Scienceand Technology Wang Zhigang during the former’s China visit from April 12-15.

Earlier, documents related to the agreement were adopted on theoccasion of the launch of the ASEAN-China Innovation Year 2018 and theChina-ASEAN Innovation Forum.

At the signing ceremony, Wang said China continues tosupport cooperation in science and technology and technology innovation morebroadly and deeply.

In addition to Indonesia, China also agreed to develop arailway system research centre with Thailand, a new and renewable energylaboratory with Laos, and radar and communications satellites with Myanmar.-VNA
