Jakarta (VNA) – The Indonesian Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the Ministry of Manpower have joined forces to launch a nationwide training programme aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial skills for Indonesians.
Speaking at a recent press conference, MSMEs Minister Maman Abdurrahman said that the two ministries have agreed on a major initiative to establish an entrepreneurship training programme accessible to people across Indonesia.
The programme will utilise over 4,000 training centres operated by central and regional governments, including facilities managed by the Ministry of Manpower.
According to Abdurrahman, the use of the existing facilities and infrastructure will help save cost and State budget. Those interested in enrolling in the training program would not have to pay any fees.
Meanwhile, Manpower Minister Yassierli expressed full support for integrating his ministry’s training centres into the programme.
Indonesia is planning to execute the entrepreneurship training programme, which targets up to 10,000 MSMEs, within the next three months through pilot projects.
Under the plan, the MSMEs Ministry will contribute by providing access to its facilities, including co-production houses and the Integrated Business Service Centre (PLUT)./.
