Hanoi (VNA) – The military-run Viettel Group is attending the 2016 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain from February 22 to 25.
According to the company, MWC 2016 brings together 85,000 telecommunications and information technology companies worldwide.
Under the theme “ Mobile in Emerging Countries”, Viettel will share its experiences with telecommunications and information technology.
By the end of 2015, Viettel was operating in 10 countries in Asia, Africa and America with 85 million subscribers, earning revenues worth 238 trillion VND and a growth rate of 20.8 percent.
Viettel has been given international awards such as Frost and Sullivan, and International Business Awards. It was honoured four times at the World Communications Awards with the title “Best service provider in developing markets” from 2009 to 2015.
MWC is an annual event that gathers top businesses in telecommunications, information technology and related areas.-VNA
