Hungarian pianist to perform at HCM City Conservatory

The Consulate General of Hungary in collaboration with the HCM City Conservatory of Music will host a piano recital by Hungarian pianist Ernõ Fehér on September 10.

HCM City (VNA) - The Consulate General of Hungary in collaboration with the HCM City Conservatory of Music will host a piano recital by Hungarian pianist Ernõ Fehér on September 10.

“A Hungarian Night” will include masterpieces by composers Debussy and Haydn, among others.

Fehér, 37, studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, and received his master’s degree in 2004.

He won a Silver Medal and two Special Honours at the Béla Bartok International Piano Competition in Hungary, and First Prize in the International Future Musicians Audition in Japan.

In recent seasons, Fehér has appeared as a soloist with orchestras, including the Marosvasarhely Symphony Orchestra and Kecskemet Symphony Orchestra of Hungary. He has performed in recitals in many countries, such as the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Russia and the US.

The concert will begin at 7.30pm at the conservatory at 112 Nguyen Du Street in District 1. Tickets, from 200,000-250,000 VND (around 9-11 USD), are available at the venue.-VNA
