GiaLai (VNA) – President Tran Dai Quang lauded efforts of the HighCommand of Army Corps No.3 over the past 43 years during a working session inthe Central Highlands province of Gia Lai on February 1. 

Thevisit took place on the occasion of the 88th Party foundinganniversary (February 3) and the 50th anniversary of the General TetOffensive in lead-up to the traditional Lunar New Year.

Heasked the Army Corps No.3 to fully grasp as well as seriously and effectivelyimplement resolutions and decrees on military affairs and national defence of theParty, State, the Central Military Commission, and the Defence Ministry, thoroughlyanalyse and forecast sabotage activities by hostile forces in the new situation.

TheArmy Corps No.3 must work closely with border guard and public security forces,and units concerned to readily fight “peace evolution”, violent disturbancesand terrorism while promptly and effectively deal with contingencies,contributing to firmly maintaining political security, social safety and order;safeguarding independence, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity,he said.

Itwas also required to pay attention to building a transparent and strong Partyunit with political firmness and synergy, continue effectively realising theResolution on strengthening Party building and rectification adopted by thefourth conference of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam(11th and 12th tenure) and Directive No.05-CT/TW by thePolitburo (12th tenure) on stepping up the campaign on studying and followingmoral example and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh.

TheState leader requested the Army Corps No.3 partner with departments and agenciesto urge the people to abide by the Party guidelines, and State laws andpolicies; offer support in poverty reduction, socio-economic and culturaldevelopment and disaster prevention.

VisitingRegiment of the Mobile Police of the Central Highlands, President Quang said as2018 is a year crucial to the successful implementation of the Resolutionadopted by the 12th National Party Congress and the 2016-2020socio-economic development plan, the Regiment needs to firmly maintainpolitical stability, safeguard territorial sovereignty and social safety andorder, thus creating a favourable environment for national development.
