Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his full confidence thatthe Russian –Vietnamese strategic partnership will go from strength tostrength, benefitting the two countries and enhancing stability andsecurity in the Asia-Pacific region.
Putin expressed this in amessage to President Truong Tan Sang congratulating Vietnam on theoccasion of the 69 th National Day on September 2.
He said herespects Vietnam for its socio-economic and scientific-technologicalprogress, and its emerging role in the global arena, noted thecommuniqué from the Kremlin.
He highlighted the amicable andconstructive bilateral relations following the course laid out duringthe 2013 high-level negotiations in Hanoi, adding that all effortsundertaken to achieve these common goals will deepen their partnership.
With the establishment of the strategic partnership in 2001,Vietnam and Russia took their tradition of friendship and mutualassistance to the next level.
During Putin’s visit to Vietnamlast November, both countries committed to further enhancing theirengagements in the spirit of the strategic partnership.
Tomark the occasion, the Vietnamese embassy staff in Moscow offeredincense to the late President Ho Chi Minh at their head office the sameday.
They later laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh monument at Ho Chi Minh Square in southern Moscow.-VNA
