President Truong Tan Sang received the Chairman of Japan’s Osaka Chamberof Commerce and Industry Sato Shigetaka in Hanoi on Oct. 6.
Sato,who is also President of Japan’s Keihan Railway Group, informed thehost of the pace of the survey of the high speed Hanoi-Hoa Lac railwayroute that Japan is speeding up.
He said with hi-tech applicationexperiences, Japanese businesses will continue cooperate withVietnamese companies in various fields, particularly railway.
Satosaid he hoped Vietnam will open more international air routes to Osaka,develop marine routes connecting Osaka and Vietnam’s central sea ports,improve industrial zone service quality and facilitate Japanesebusinesses’ investment in the country.
President Sang highlightedthe rapid development of the Vietnam-Japan strategic partnership andexperiences and technology of the Keihan group, saying he hoped thegroup will make active contributions to Vietnam’s infrastructuredevelopment, particularly its urban transport.
Sang took theoccasion to welcome the efforts of the Osaka Chamber of Commerce andIndustry to encourage its member businesses to accept Vietnamesetrainees.
He said he believed Sato’s visit will pave the way for building Japanese hi-tech industrial parks in Vietnam.
Vietnam creates all favourable conditions for the successful operation of Japanese businesses, President Sang said./.
