Price management under review

Thecommittee said that this year, the price management and operationactivities were conducted well, and had considerable effect on themacroeconomic stability, reported Government news portal chinhphu.vn.

Additionally, the government managed the supply and demand well enough to stabilise domestic market prices.

Theprice management was implemented along with an improving businessenvironment, and it prevented and combated smuggling and trade fraud.

Theprice of services and essential goods such as petrol, electricity,coal, healthcare services and educational services were managedstep-by-step according to the market mechanism, along with Stateregulation.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh, head of thecommittee, said that price management must follow market development andbe active and feasible.

The prices of essential goods havestabilised over the past months, including of money price, milk,healthcare services and educational services, while petrol prices havechanged as per the global market developments, Ninh said.

Nextyear, Ninh said, price management will continue to follow the marketrules and must be unified, from the Central level to the provincial andcity levels.

He pointed out that initially, the ministries,sectors and cities/provinces should be well prepared to meet the supplyand demand of goods for production and consumption during the coming NewYear and Lunar New Year. They must also combat smuggling and tradefraud to ensure price stabilisation.

The committee was set up inMay and its members are leaders from various ministries and offices,including finance, industry and trade and planning and investment, aswell as health, education and training, and transport, besidesagriculture and rural development, government offices and the State Bankof Vietnam.-VNA

Vietnam takes steps to address drop in durian exports to China

Vietnam Airlines resumes direct Hanoi–Moscow flights

Vietnam Airlines will operate two flights on the Hanoi–Moscow route a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. From July 2026, the airline plans to increase the frequency to three flights per week to meet rising travel demand between the two countries.
