Prime Minister hosts men’s football coach Park Hang-seo

Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuchosted a reception in Hanoi on February 19 for head coach of the Vietnamese men’sfootball team Park Hang-seo and his spouse.

The PM said Park has brought great delight to Vietnamesepeople with the team’s recent achievements, adding that the head coach servesas an important bridge for friendship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea(RoK).

The Vietnamese Government and people greatly appreciatePark’s contributions to national football over the past few years, he said,adding that Park has laid a great foundation for the future of the sport inVietnam.

He expressed his wish that Park will make furthercontributions to the industry in the near future.

Park, for his part, said the team has received noted supportfrom ministries, agencies, and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) over the years.

As important competitions lay ahead this year, the guestvowed to do his best to meet the expectations of Vietnamese fans.

The PM said he will arrange time to work with VFF and thehead coach to listen to their suggestions. He also required ministries andagencies concerned to offer timely rewards to the team.

He wished that the coach would exert all efforts for thenational men’s football team, and asked the VFF to promptly report all of Park’ssuggestions to him.

The leader said the RoK President also frequently talkedabout Park during their bilateral meetings.

On the occasion, PM Phuc expressed hope that Park would reapfurther success with Vietnamese football in the near future. –VNA
