Project promotes parenting among Vietnamese

A project was officially launched in Hanoi on December 10 with the aim of promoting parenting to Vietnamese, as well as all-round development of local children.

Hanoi (VNA) – A project was officially launchedin Hanoi on December 10 with the aim of promoting parenting to Vietnamese, aswell as all-round development of local children.  

The opening ceremony for the “Holistic parentingscale-up project” was co-organised by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)in Vietnam, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA), theHuman Safety Net Foundation of Generali Group and the Vietnam Chamber ofCommerce and Industry (VCCI).

The project has been rolled out on a trial basis in 27communes of Gia Lai, Dien Bien and Kon Tum provinces, and a number of factoriesin and around Ho Chi Minh City since 2019.

The Human Safety Net Foundation committed to providingmore than 1 million EUR (1.12 million USD) for the project in 15 cities andprovinces, and 40 enterprises during the 2021-2024 period.

The project, therefore, is expected to benefit tens ofthousands of parents and children, and millions of others through digitalplatforms.

Apart from the financial support, the foundation alsoplanned to aid the project in other forms regularly.

UNICEF Representative in Vietnam Rana Flowers and MoLISADeputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha shared the view on the important role of parents tochildren’s development, and the need to equip them with parenting skills./.

Vietnam’s digital map updates 34 provincial-level administrative units

An 1:1,000,000-scale administrative map of Vietnam online and in digital *.pdf format will be released once the National Assembly’s Resolution on the reorganisation of provincial-level administrative units in 2025 takes effect in oder to promptly support the Prime Minister’s direction and administration, support state management by ministries, sectors, and localities; and meet requirements of organisations and individuals.

Japanese veteran journalist praises Vietnamese press’ progress

Kitagawa was first introduced to Vietnamese media in late 1973, when he arrived in Hanoi to study the Vietnamese language at the University of Hanoi.
