The communication campaign on safe helmet use was reviewed at a ceremony in Hanoi on October 29.
The one-month campaign was launched on August 24 for the second time by the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYF), the National Committee for Traffic Safety and Unilever Vietnam.
VYF Chairman Nguyen Phi Long, who is also the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, hailed the recent joint efforts of the Union, the Federation and relevant bodies to ensure traffic safety and promote safe helmet use.
Vice President of the Committee Khuat Viet Hung spoke highly of the initiative and hoped it would continue to be organised in the future to raise awareness of obeying safe traffic laws among the community.
Motorbikes make up the majority of vehicles in Vietnam and motorbike-related traffic accidents account for 70 percent.
On the occasion, the three most outstanding video clips from the 75 entries in the “wearing safe helmet – go home safely” competition were awarded.-VNA
