Hanoi (VNA) – The central province of Quang Ngai’s potential andstrengths were nudged closer to foreign investors at a conference jointly heldby the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the provincial People’s Committee inHanoi on October 25.

With investment opportunities in the fields of trade, culture-tourism,agriculture and industry highlighted, the conference is expected to help QuangNgai better integrate into the world, deepen international connectivity, andbolster practical collaboration with its partners.

At the event, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Van Minh laid a stress on the locality’s strengths which include strategic position in theCentral Key Economic Region, well-developed transport infrastructure, dynamiceconomy, high-quality human resources, and huge tourism potential.
 
Quang Ngai has completed its planning for the 2021-2030period with a vision to 2050, and a master plan to build Dung Quat EconomicZone by 2035 with a vision to 2045, he said, underlining that the Party CentralCommittee’s orientation to branch out a national petrochemical and energycentre at Dung Quat Economic Zone and build a sea and island tourism centre inLy Son will bring new development opportunities for Quang Ngai and investors inthe time ahead.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang expressed her firm beliefthat boasting huge potential and sound orientation from the local leaders, theprovince will get attention from international partners that turns it into adevelopment centre not only of the central region but also the whole country.

The ministry will continue accompanying localitiesnationwide, including Quang Ngai, to carry out economic diplomacy with a viewto promoting connectivity with foreign partners, expanding export markets, andluring foreign direct investment and official development assistance forlocal development across tourism, sea-based economy, logistics, trade andindustry.

Representatives of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), the Hong Kong Business Association inVietnam (HKBAV), the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), the Binh SonRefining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company, and the Korean-based DoosanEnerbility Vietnam Co.,Ltd presented their business and investment plans inQuang Ngai in the coming time.

Various issues related to insurance, labourand investment and business policies of Quang Ngai province were discussedamong participants and representatives from the locality.

January CPI rises on stronger Tet holiday demand
