Quang Ngai province has first solar power plant

The first solar power plant in the central province of Quang Ngai was inaugurated on April 26 in Duc Minh commune, Mo Duc district.

Quang Ngai, (VNA) – Thefirst solar power plant in the central province of Quang Ngai was inauguratedon April 26 in Duc Minh commune, Mo Duc district.

Built by the Thien Taninvestment construction JSC with an investment of nearly 900 billion VND (38.66million USD), the Mo Duc solar power plant has a capacity of 19.2 MW. It usesthe advanced FTC Solar technology of the US.

Vice Chairman of Quang Ngaiprovince’s People’s Committee Nguyen Tang Binh said the plant will supply cleanpower for the national power grid, helping ease the pressure of rising power demand.

He instructed the province’sdepartments and agencies to implement policies and legal documents ondeveloping the abundant solar power source, contributing to localsocio-economic development.-VNA

Finance ministry eyes flexible tax thresholds

In a draft law amending several articles of the laws on personal income tax, corporate income tax and value-added tax, Vietnam's finance ministry proposed scrapping the fixed revenue threshold of 500 million VND. Instead, it suggested the threshold be set by the Government based on prevailing economic conditions.

Vietnam seeks stable jet fuel supplies from China amid Middle East disruptions
