Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,172 VND/USD on September 13, down another 15 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,381 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,963 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates fluctuated in different directions.
At 8:37 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,410 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,750 VND/USD, both up 30 VND from the previous day.
Meanwhile, BIDV reduced the buying rate by 80 VND to 24,310 VND/USD and cut 40 VND from the selling rate to 24,690 VND/USD./.
