Hanoi (VNA) – The daily reference exchange rate continued the rising trend from the previous day, going up 13 VND to 22,662 VND/USD on July 19.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,344 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,986 VND/USD.

The rates listed at commercial banks saw only slight changes, with Vietcombank and BIDV maintaining the same rates as on July 18.

Vietcombank is listing the buying rate at 23,010 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,080 VND/USD.

The rates at BIDV stood at 23,015 VND/USD (buying) and 23,085 VND/USD (selling).

Vietinbank cut both rates by 1 VND, buying the green back at 23,014 VND/USD and selling at 23,084 VND/USD.

The reference exchange rate opened the week up. It was then adjusted down on July 17 before going up again for the next two days.-VNA
