Reference exchange rate down 41 VND

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,196 VND/USD on December 9, down 41 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,891 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,500 VND/USD

The opening-hour rates at commercial banks sharply decreased.

At 8:35am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,789 VND/USD, down 140 VND, and the selling rate at 23,025 VND/USD, down 175 VND from December 8.

BIDV also reduced 140 VND to both rates, listing at 22,810 VND/USD (buying) and 23,050 VND/USD (selling)./.
