Reference exchange rate up 50 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,120 VND/USD on December 7, up 50 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,120 VND/USD on December 7, up 50 VND from the previous day.

With thecurrent trading band of + /-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercialbanks during the day is 23,906 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,513 VND/USD

Theopening-hour rates at commercial banks saw sharp increases.

At 8:35am, Vietcombanklisted the buying rate at 22,950 VND/USD, up 280 VND, and the selling rate at 23,220VND/USD, up 270 VND from December 6.

BIDV also added260 VND to both rates, listing at 22,960 VND/USD (buying) and 23,200 VND/USD(selling)./.
