Reference exchange rate down on January 3

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,334 VND/USD on January 3, down 8 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,334 VND/USD on January 3, down 8 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,551 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,117 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw slight decreases.

At 8:30 am, Vietcombank and BIDV cut their both rates by 9 VND, listing the buying rate at 25,250 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,55 VND/USD./.
