Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,137 VND/USD on September 16, down 35 VND from the last working day of the previous week (September 13).
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,344 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,930 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw mixed developments.
At 8:46 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,380 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,720 VND/USD, both down 30 VND from September 13.
Meanwhile, BIDV raised the buying rate by 60 VND to 24,370 VND/USD and the selling rate by 20 VND to 24,710 VND/USD./.
