Reference exchange rate rebounds on December 25

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,320 VND/USD on December 25, up 12 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,320 VND/USD on December 25, up 12 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,536 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,104 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates also saw increases.

At 8:15am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,236 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,536 VND/USD, both rising 13 VND from December 24.

Meanwhile, BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,241 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,536 VND/USD, up 16 VND and 13 VND from the previous day, respectively./.

Vietnam becomes second biggest garment exporter globally
