With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,959 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,564 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at most commercial banks saw slight rises.
At 8:25 am, BIDV raised both rates by 15 VND, offering the buying rate at 23,350 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,530 VND/USD.
Techcombank added 2 VND to both rates, with the buying rate listed at 23,327 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,527 VND/USD.
Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,310 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,520 VND/USD, both up 10 VND from the same time on May 4./.
