Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,177 VND/USD on October 15, up 16 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,386 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,968 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates increased.
At 8:15am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,665 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,025 VND/USD, both up 25 VND from October 14.
BIDV also raised both rates by 20 VND, posting the buying rate at 24,660 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,020 VND/USD./.
