Vietnamese fishermen, rescued during Typhoon Conson by China, will come back to Vietnam on August 1.
The news has been confirmed by Hoang Ngoc Bao, a representative of Vietnam ’s General Consulate in Guangzhou , China on July 30 after he visited the 23 Vietnamese fishermen who were accommodated on Hainan island.
The fishermen were caught in the tropical storm Conson on July 18 and 19 and saved by a Chinese search and rescue team. They have since then stayed in Sanya city, Hainan and are now in good conditions.
Bao said the consulate general will work with relevant agencies of China and Hainan to bring the fishermen back to Vietnam by roadway, through Mong Cai border gate, Quang Ninh province./.
