RoK defence official welcomed in Hanoi

Tuan noted that 2012 is an important milestone in bilateral relationsas the two countries are celebrating the 20 th anniversary of theirdiplomatic ties.

This is also a chance for the twosides to further boost their friendship, cooperation, mutualunderstanding and trust in the spirit of a strategic partnership,meeting the aspiration and interest of the two peoples as well as forpeace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and theworld at large, he said.

Tuan spoke highly of thecooperation between the two Defence Ministries over the past time,especially in holding deputy minister-level strategic defence dialogues,exchanging delegations and personnel training, thus strengthening thefriendship and cooperation between the two armies and the two peoples.

The RoK defenceofficial expressed his belief that through the visit, many practicalexchange and cooperation activities will be organised by both sides inthe coming time./.VNA

Senior military, public security officers promoted to higher ranks
