HCM City (VNA) – The Korea Trade - Investment Promotion Agency and the Re Public of Korea Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City jointly launched a recruitment day in the southern metropolis on December 4.
The event was participated by 45 enterprises, including big companies like Hyosung, ITL, Lotte Mart, Fuji Xerox, CJ and those in electronics, engineering, trade, service and manufacturing.
According to Consul General Park Noh Wan, the industriousness and competence of Vietnamese labourers is one of the reasons for RoK companies to pump investments in Vietnam.
Until now, RoK companies have been employing over 700,000 local labourers.
Park said the recruitment day will become an annual event, bridging Vietnamese job seekers and Korean employers.
As of October, 2015, RoK investors have registered 580 new projects and added capital to 260 existing projects with a combined capital of 6.221 billion USD, leading the foreign investors in Vietnam.-VNA
