Hung Yen (VNA) – The Republic ofKorea (RoK)’s Hao Group said it plans to invest in a waste-to-energy plant witha daily capacity of 150 tonnes of rubbish in the northern province of HungYen.
At a meeting with local authorities on September29, the group said it would produce high-capacity batteries and microbiologicalfertilizer through waste fermentation.
The group called on the provincial authorities to facilitate the earlyimplementation of the project, which aims to provide electricity for theElectricity of Vietnam (EVN), reduce environmental pollution and increaselocals’ income.
Chairman of the provincial People’s CommitteeNguyen Van Phong affirmed his support for the project, requesting the group toconduct thorough feasibility studies.
He also pledged thatthe locality will create the best conditions for the investor to successfullyimplement the project.-VNA
