Phnom Penh (VNA) – The Republic of Korea (RoK) has provided a concessional loan of 63.88 million USD for sewage system development in Takhmao town, Kandal province, Cambodian news agency (AKP) reported.
The Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) Loan Agreement for Sewerage System Development in Takhmao Town Project between the Cambodia and the Export-Import Bank of the RoK was signed on April 3 between Secretary of State for Economy and Finance of Cambodia Vongsey Vissoth and head of EDCF Cambodia Office Chang Youn-Soo.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the main part of the project is the construction of a wastewater treatment plant with the filing capacity of 7,600 cubic metres per day and the rehabilitation of 16.2 kilometre-long dam.
Cambodian Senior Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Aun Porn Moniroth said from 2001 to April 2018, Cambodia signed 21 concessional loan agreements with the RoK’s EDCF worth 763 million USD in total for physical infrastructure development projects in the Kingdom.- VNA
