The Republic of Korea will help Hanoi survey some 3,000ha of land alongthe banks of the Hong (Red) River to plan the city's urban development.
TheHanoi People's Committee has approved the report of the RoK-sponsoredtechnical support project, "Strategy on urban development planning alongRed River's banks from Thang Long Bridge to Long Bien Bridge."
Theproject will examine the theoretical and practical aspects of urbandevelopment in Hanoi and review urban planning and development policies.
It will also recommend development planning measures for the 11-km-long area along the banks of the Hong River.
Thestakeholders, including Hanoi Institute of Construction and Planning,Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements and Korea Bank, haveworked together to ensure a smooth run for the project.
The ViceChairman of the Municipal People's Committee, Nguyen Quoc Hung, hasasked the relevant departments and agencies to cooperate with theorganisations engaged in the project, especially in sharing data./.
