Russian expert awarded Friendship Order

Alexander Mukhin, a software engineeer from the Gazprom Group of Russia, was awarded the Friendship Order by the Vietnamese State for his active contributions to developing Vietnam’s oil and gas industry and the Vietnam-Russia friendship.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia on Nov. 8 hosted a ceremony to hand over the award.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Pham XuanSon reviewed the recent fine development of traditional friendship andbilateral trade relations between Vietnam and Russia , especiallyin the oil and gas sector.

For his part, Mukhinthanked the Vietnamese State for the award, affirming that he willmake more contributions to promoting and developing the friendshipbetween the two countries./.

Vietnamese, Chinese cities to build smart border gate pair

They also consented to promote the development of a cross-border economic cooperation zone through sectoral cooperation at Hai Yen industrial park, Van Ninh international port in Mong Cai; a cross-border e-commerce industrial park; and transport connectivity projects between the two cities including the international railway line from Mong Cai to Dongxing, Bac Luan III bridge, and an auxiliary rough steel bridge.

A fisherman from central Quang Ngai province was given emergency treatment for severe respiratory distress at the Song Tu Tay island infirmary in the island district of Truong Sa, the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on March 11, after falling ill while fishing at sea.
