Saigontourist receives first maritime tourists of the year

The Saigon Travel Service Company (Saigontourist) has received thousands of foreign maritime tourists in the first days of the year of the Tiger.

The cruiseliner Costa Allegra anchored at the NaviOil port in Ho Chi Minh City onFebruary 23, bringing 1,250 foreign tourists and crew.

The visitors, mostly from Italy, Spain, Germany and the UK, willexplore HCM City and several other destinations in the central regionsuch as Da Nang, Hoi An, My Son and Hue.

The tourism company, on March 1, and 2, will receive another 800Italian holiday makers travelling on the cruise liner Athena to tour ofHCM City and the southern city of My Tho.

In the first two months of this year, Saigontourist welcomed more than 10,000 foreign maritime tourists./.

Vietnam targets 1 billion USD in banana exports
