Samsung kicks off "Solve for Tomorrow 2023" contest

Hanoi (VNA) – Samsung Vietnam Complex, SamsungVina Electronics Company, and Junior Achievement Organisation on April 12officially launched the "Solve for Tomorrow 2023" contest.

The contest will run until November 11 with two groups for junior and and high school students competing in three rounds.

The top 40 teams will be guided by seniorprofessional advisors from Samsung.

Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex,said that the number of registers to the contest is expected to double that oflast year.

Its total prize value is also increased to the highestlevel ever, nearly 8 billion VND (340,000 USD), and the school with the firstprize winning team will be sponsored by Samsung with a functional classroom -STEM Lab worth more than 1 billion VND.

First launched in the US in 2010, the contest has been expanded to 33 countries around the world such as Singapore, Russia, France, Canada, India, and Brazil with nearly 2 million students participating.

In Vietnam, it was first held in 2019. The contest not only allows students to apply STEM education knowledge related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields but also nurtures their ability to approach technology, create solutions to solving society's problems. About 165,000 students and teachers have so far registered to participate in the contest./.
