Theselected applicants are either engineers or holders of a bachelor’s degree.
GSATis a Samsung global capacity test for new candidates graduating fromuniversities, and includes three main topics: mathematical ability, deductivereasoning and visual thinking. This is one of the first rounds of therecruitment procedure for graduate staff of all Samsung subsidiaries worldwide.
Afterthe GSAT, high scorers will go through interviews in December. After passingtwo rounds, the most outstanding and suitable candidates will become officialemployees of Samsung Vietnam in early 2018 and will work at seven facilitiesand centres, including Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen (SEVT), SamsungElectro-Mechanics Vietnam (SEMV), Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) and SamsungDisplay Vietnam (SDV), as well as Samsung SDI Vietnam (SDIV), Samsung SDS Vietnam(SDSV) and SVMC.
SamsungVietnam Mobile R&D Centre (SVMC) also held its monthly contest forrecruitment of programming engineers with the participation of 250 students.
SVMCalso examined the Samsung Talent Programme scholarship, with a value of over 54million VND for each student along with the opportunity to work at SamsungR&D right after graduation.
TheGSAT recruitment test was first organised by Samsung Vietnam in 2011 and morethan 12,300 employees have been recruited through this test so far. Therecruitment of a large number of university graduates is a part of Samsung’sexpansion plan in Vietnam. This is an important step in the transformation ofSamsung’s strategy to strengthen its leading position as the world’s largestmobile phone manufacturer.-VNA
