Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam NationalUniversity Hanoi (VNU) partnered with military-run telecom group Viettel to rollout the School of Aerospace Engineering (SAE) on December 18 to provide skilledaerospace workers for the country.
Addressing the launching ceremony, VNU Director NguyenKim Son said the partnership between VNU and Viettel is a new pathway for bothsides, resulting from their needs for development.
The VNU needs to strengthen collaborative links withbusinesses to fill the gap between education-research and practice whileViettel looks for cooperation with experts to develop technological solutionsto fulfil the goal of becoming a technology group, he added.
The SAE will provide graduate and post-graduate coursesin aerospace engineering and at the same time, carry out studies and developtechnological solutions in the field for civil and defence purposes.
It will also offer consulting services and transfer oftechnology and intelligence in aerospace engineering for partners at home andoverseas.
The VNU took the occasion to launch a new course inaerospace engineering which will be open for application in the second semesterof the academic year 2017-2018. The course targets freshers from the VNU’sUniversity of Technology in Information Technology, Electrical/ElectronicEngineering Technology, Telecommunication, and Mechatronics EngineeringTechnology.-VNA
