Hanoi (VNA) – The second edition of a painting contest honouring Vietnamese cultural heritage will be launched at the beginning of September.

The contest aims to create opportunities for artists to learn and express their love for Vietnamese cultural heritages and inspire them to create paintings contributing to the protection, preservation and promotion of the heritage, Do Van Tru, chairman of the Vietnam Culture Heritage Association said at a press conference on August 29.

He noted that young artists, students at universities, colleges specialising in fine arts and cultural and art schools nationwide and Vietnamese students studying abroad are encouraged to join the contest, adding that there will be three additional prizes for young contestants.

The contest accepts paintings on all materials and of all types, depicting values of tangible and intangible cultural heritage and landscapes across the country.

Contestants can send multiple entries to the contest’s organizing board by September 30, 2025. The winners will be announced in late November to mark the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23.
