Vinh Long (VNA) – The key values of socialismwere highlighted at an international seminar in the Mekong Delta province ofVinh Long on November 3.

The event was co-organised by the Institute ofPhilosophy under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung,Regional Office Southeast Asia, Hanoi.

Participants touched upon such issues as the accessto socialism, the relations between socialism values and national ones,international views on socialism values, and socialism building in Vietnam.

VASS Vice President Dr. Dang Xuan Thanh noted thatsocialism has made important contributions to the development history andprogress of humankind, saying its values form a foundation and an impulse forthe development of each nation on the path towards socialism.

On the basis of Marxism – Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’sideology, Vietnam has consistently pursued the path and made efforts toconsolidate, materialise and protect socialism values, he affirmed.
Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tai Dong, Director of theInstitute of Philosophy, stressed that the socialism values Vietnam is pursuing are associated with humankind quintessence as well as traditional values of thecountry./.

K’Ho ethnic minority group in Lam Dong province looks forward to Election Day

The inspection revealed that passenger P.T.H. had concealed 10 pieces of the metal, weighing about 5 kg, inside her bra and underwear. Passenger V.T.M. hid five pieces totalking roughly 1.1 kg beneath underwear. Passenger N.V.L. concealed nine pieces amounting to around 3.5 kg, while passenger C.S.M.H. hid seven pieces weighing some 2.7 kg under underwear and on the wrist.
