The 7th national sports festival will be held in November in the northern provinces and cities of Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hoa Binh, Quang Ninh and Hanoi, with Nam Dinh being the host of the festival.
The festival will include events in 36 sports, such as athletics, football, karate, weight-lifting, taekwondo, chess, volleyball, water sports, tennis, vovinam, judo, traditional martial arts, pencak silat, wrestling, badminton, wushu, table-tennis, golf, billiards-snooker, canoeing, cycling, boxing, dance sport, and sport aerobics.
The event is to encourage localities to actively train talented athletes to prepare for ASIAD 2014, SEA Games 2015, Asian Beach Games 2016 and other international sports festivals.-VNA
